From the Rate Management page, choose the 'Advanced Options' button.
You will land on the page that says 'Edit On Demand Configuration'.
The first configuration is to set the Inventory. You can enter the number of spaces to ensure you do not oversell.
Alternatively you can enter the -1 to skip any inventory management.
Next, you can configure Redemption Instructions.
You can choose the type of session, again Mobile Pay and Longterm are the same - and the default option.
If the location requires a fob for access, you can choose the option.
Custom instructions can be configured here as well.
These are used if you want to follow a slightly different flow than the pre-arranged options listed in the app for the product.
Eg. You need to contact operator after purchase to arrange fob pick up and payment.
These instructions appear below the rates in the app, or off to the left side on the web app.
You can also enter a Description here.
Descriptions are displayed just below your operator name and logo.
They can help customers find your parking or learn about special rates or details that might be required pre-purchase, such as the fob required, or if the permit applies to certain spots etc.
Eg. Permit parkers can park on levels 4 only. Or monthly parking is not valid on Wednesday between 6pm and 8pm.
Plate Changes
Most permits are set up to allow the user to adjust their own plate throughout the permit duration as they are long term parking.
To allow for plate switching enter the amount of plates the user can switch between in the 'Plate Switching Limit' field.
The default is set to 0, meaning users will not be able to switch their license plate associated with the permit themselves, and will have to contact HONK support for any changes.
Setting to the limit to 1 will also not allow switches.
To allow for plate switching you have to set the limit to 2 or more.
The only consideration needed is if enforcement needs to be integrated and configured with a 3rd party. If that is not set-up yet, you can't adjust this option as it won't show on the enforcement end.
Additional Instructions can also be configured here.
These instructions are special as they pop-up AFTER purchase. These are most commonly used for access instructions such as directing users to enter from a certain entrance, or giving access to a door code for after hours.
Eg. More examples of how this functions and appears to the user in the On-Demand - Advanced Configuration article.
Permit Expiry Alert can be set as well. By Default, long term permit holders are sent a reminder email to renew their permit seven days ahead of expiry. Opt out of this feature to disable automatic reminders emails for permit renewal.
Eg. You have a seasonal permit that can't be renewed until next season, so you don't want users to get an email advising them to renew when the option is not available.
Hit 'Submit' to save.
