From the left side Menu, select 'Management' and then 'FlexPass'.
Choose the blue 'Create a FlexPass' button to get started.
Part 1 - Configure your FlexPass
Indicate the zone your FlexPass will be associated with.
Give the FlexPass a name - being as descriptive as possible. 'Semester parking' or 'Early Bird 10 Pack'.
Determine the number of redemptions.
Determine the cost or price of your FlexPass.
Lastly, set the validity of the FlexPass.
There are two types of validity,
Valid For - where your FlexPass is available for redemption for a specified duration. This can be for minutes, hours or months. Usually 1 month or more is selected here.
Valid Between - where your FlexPass is available for redemption between the start and end date chosen. This is commonly used for schools with semesters or the school year as the duration.
Choose 'Submit' button to save and create the FlexPass.
Once the duration expires, the FlexPasses purchased are expired and won't be useable.
FlexPass expiries can not be adjusted post purchase.
Part 2 - Configure Redemption rate
Determine the parking access a customer gains when redeeming one FlexPass parking session from the prepaid bundle. Customers will be able to redeem a FlexPass parking session under the Hourly tab in the HONK app.
The 'Zone' tab when the only option id 'Recurring' is automatically chosen.
Next, the 'Redemption Availability' need to be set.
Select the days of the week when the redemptions can be redeemed.
Then enter the time of day to set the Purchase Availability Start Time, as well as the Purchase Availability End Time.
Lastly choose the 'Rate Type'.
Valid For: where the parking session is valid for a specified duration. This can be for days, months or years.
Valid Until: where the parking session is valid until a fixed end of time.
This requires further specification if it is an overnight (where it spans from before midnight to after midnight on the next) parking session.
Or a Multi-day (where it allows a parker to stay in the lot for multiple days)
Both overnight and multi-day rates are uncommon for FlexPass redemptions as they are mostly used for daily parking.
Choose 'Publish FlexPass' to make the FlexPass available for purchase.
Once complete, the FlexPass is listed in the FlexPass tab for viewing and editing as needed.
