Event rates have the highest priority over other types of rates. They are commonly used for specific occasions like sports events or conventions, or holidays. For example they can be used for baseball games every Friday, or for a special rate on Labour Day.
They can be set in advance for events for ease of use.
Event rates can either be exclusive or non-exclusive
Exclusive means when there are active exclusive event rates, no other rates will be available for purchase and that rate will override all other rates.
That means if you have an event rate that begins at 5PM, but your regular day rate usually ends at 7PM, all day purchases that usually end at 7PM will end at 5pm that date (for the same pricing) so we do not advise using exclusive unless you WANT that to occur.
Non-exclusive means they act as normal rates. It will just begin when you tell it to and will not affect previous purchases.
Example, you have an event rate at 5PM, a user buys 3 hours of parking at 4:59PM - they will be able to purchase that 3 hours at regular price and it will end at 7:59PM despite the event rate that is active during that time because they purchased outside of the event rate even by 1 minute.
